The basics

What is Apex?

Apex is an AI-powered student life optimization app. It reads your syllabi, learns your schedule and goals, and builds a weekly plan that balances school with the rest of your life, then keeps adjusting it as things change.

Who is Apex for?

Students. College students juggling five syllabi, high schoolers stacking APs and activities, athletes planning around practice, and anyone working shifts while taking classes. If your week feels out of control, Apex was built for you.

Is Apex only for college students?

No. Apex is built for both college and high school students. The planning engine adapts to your kind of week, whether that's lecture halls and part-time jobs or seven classes and after-school practice. Apex is for users 13 and older.

Is Apex free?

Yes. Apex is free to download on the App Store, and the core planning features are free for students.

What makes Apex different from Notion, Google Calendar, or Todoist?

Those are great tools, but you have to operate them. You build the system, maintain it, and rebuild it when the semester falls apart. Apex does the operating: it reads the syllabus, places the study blocks, learns how long your work really takes, and reshuffles the week when plans change. Less setup, more done.

Using Apex

How does the syllabus upload work?

Upload your syllabus once per class — a PDF or a photo works. Apex scans it and pulls out the dates that matter: exams, essays, quizzes, and deadlines, plus details like professor and office hours. Those flow straight into your schedule, organized by course. You can review and edit anything it finds.

Can I import my class schedule?

Yes. Take a photo of your class schedule and Apex adds your recurring classes to the calendar automatically.

Does Apex replace my calendar?

No, it works with it. Apex syncs with your existing calendar, so events you already have stay put. What Apex adds is the intelligence layer: deciding when to study, how to break up big deadlines, and how to keep your week balanced.

Can I edit the schedule myself?

Always. Apex proposes, you decide. Move things around, delete blocks, protect time. LOLA adapts around your edits instead of fighting them.

What is Dynamic Studying?

Dynamic Studying is how Apex decides how much study time each assignment gets. It learns how long work actually takes you in each class, then weighs your class priorities, whether it's an exam or homework, its grade weight, how close the deadline is, and whether you tend to finish early or at the last minute.

What are the energy check-ins?

An optional short energy survey in the morning, plus a quick "How are you feeling?" every couple of hours that you can skip with a single tap. Your answers feed your body battery score and tune the rest of the day's focus forecast. You're never required to complete them.

Does Apex work offline?

Study sessions and check-ins save even when you're offline and sync automatically when you're back online.

LOLA & AI

What is LOLA?

LOLA stands for Life Optimization Learning Assistant. It's the AI guide inside Apex — reading your syllabi, learning when you focus best, and nudging your week back into balance. Think of LOLA as a very organized friend who never sleeps and never judges.

What does LOLA remember about me?

LOLA keeps a short summary of durable things you share — habits, preferences, goals, and schedule patterns — so conversations stay relevant. You can view and clear it anytime in Settings → "What Apex Knows."

Privacy & data

Is my data private?

Your syllabi and schedule are used for one thing: building your plan. We don't sell personal data and don't use it for advertising. Your data is encrypted and only accessible to your account. See the full privacy policy.

What does Apex do with Apple Health data?

If you allow it, Apex reads your sleep data (read-only) to pre-fill your daily body battery score. Health data never leaves your device, is never sold, and is never used for advertising or analytics. You can revoke access anytime in iOS Settings.

How do I delete my account?

Go to Settings → Delete Account in the app. This removes your account and all associated data. You can also contact us to request deletion or a copy of your data.

Account & devices

Which devices does Apex support?

Apex runs on iPhone and iPad (with full iPad support) and requires iOS 26.2 or later.

How do I sign in?

Sign in with Apple or with email and password. Your data is backed up, so it carries across reinstalls and new devices.
